OK so I did some digging and came up with an interesting video on the Canadian Bill of Rights, and the tax code

http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...77576871787998

And also found this website

http://www.captaincanadacrusades.ca/index.htm

Apparently according to these we don't "HAVE TO" pay Federal taxes. But I think we may need to have a lawyer along to explain it to the tax man.

Yes please!!!

There is a guy that I used to work with. He's from Alberta, and didn't change his vehicle insurance to BC. He hasn't had car insurance since his Alberta plates ran out in July 2006. He says he doesn't think he should have to pay for insurance...says he's not going to hit anyone. Ignorant if you ask me, and one of the many reasons I have the optional "underinsured motorist" plan.

ICBC are crooks!

I've got written proof of over 15 yrs safe, no accident driving from my insurers in the UK & ICBC wont give me a single % discount because I once claimed for a craked windshield 5 yrs ago.

Also, I don't know how an insurance company can ever be impartial if they had to represent 2 different parties.

When I renew, I'll be getting the bare legal minimum through ICBC & the rest I'll go with my usual insurer ING.

Rant Over

My friend once worked out, to the dollar, how many people you could kill over the course of a 30 year car insurance plan.

I forget how he came up with all the numbers, but his research paper made quite a buzz with the staff members of that semester.

Anyway, I guess, according to some statistics, you could kill three or four people and get your money's worth over 30 years. LOL?
