Considering that most of our equipment is made in Germany, we are out of luck. Even EcoTech Radions, Vortech pumps, Tunze powerbeads, etc.. are not CSA certified.

That leads me to believe that every single fish store in canada is in violation.

Wonderful...

That makes zero sense. They shouldn't be inspecting portable equipment in the first place.
Also UL or ULc listed, among others, are fine in Canada. But again, portable equipment so why are they looking? If it's anything it'll be the fire inspector that will look for that.

I'm a jman sparky, and while not an inspector I know more than most of them. I hate having to do the inspectors job.

If you want me to have a peek at the report they gave you so you can rebut it just send it over to me

Hi Jeff,

Well, if that is true its great news!

I may take you up on that offer. He never gave me a report so I will contact the ESA for the report.

The GHL ballasts only show CE.

LED lighting is also test exempt. its in the amendment. the power supply is not thats why both ecotech and GHL use graded power supplies

Interesting.

I really need to compile this information for him so when he comes back we can get approved.
