I know what you mean about space to work or even set up. Mine wouldn't have been possible but we had one of our kids move out, so freed up a room in the basement, another kid moved downstairs, office moved to upstairs bedroom and I get a fish room! Timing worked well!

I can't help with the 180 but I'm sure it will be fine. Having the tank sit on my floor for 2 weeks was torture, can't imagine waiting longer!! Do you have a tank going now?
i have 2 going my 90g which will be replaced by the 180. and the inspiration to this build my 50g for our daycare kids. i want this to be as clean if not cleaner looking with no visible powerheads or filtration. in the main display. thats what makes this diy difficult.

thanks guys

you say progress i say spending money.. i cant complain i got a good deal on the lights and quite happy with them. just have to figure out where to put the ballasts didnt realise how huge they would be lol. have to plan a shelf in the stand somehow.

i hope to have room by the end of feb to bring the tank inside and tear it apart to fix it then the fun will begin
