Default live rock whoops

actually i guess its more like base rock oops, i had a bit of a blonde moment and added the rock from my recently shut down 55 gallon to my sump (about 80lbs) all at once instead of a little bit at a time like i planned. i shut my 55 down about a week ago and the rock had just been sitting in a bucket forgotten about and getting pretty stinky. oh well i guess im gonna get another cycle period only this time with a fully stocked tank and alot of corals. Maybe i will have to start doing water changes again. Kinda strange though, i added the rock yesterday morning and ive had more polyp extension today than ive seen in my tank ever.

I would take out the rock and cycle it in a rubbermaid

There's probably a bunch of particles of die-off that the filter feeders in your tank like. If the rock has been exposed to air that long though it'll almost certainly imbalance things, I'd take the remove/cycle seperate route as well to be safe.
