Thanks all for the offers. Unfortunately in the end there are no survivors to give temporary housing for. My clownfish, filefish and carpets are moved to my 65 fowlr for now as well as one clam. Too early to predict whether the carpets and clam pull through.

I have a very large mess to clean up now.

Seems like some kind of electrical anomaly must have happened, both the controller and my Shaw modem are bricked. Just had to happen when the heater relay was in the on position. Spectacularly bad luck.

That really sucks Tony. Went through that a decade ago, it was awful. Not sure how I stuck with it after that.

This is horrible news! I a hope the survivors pull through. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Your controller and your modem? And no electrical appliances, TVs etc are damaged? Sounds like something to do with Shaw. Perhaps you should survey your neighbors.
