Default RO/DI in vancouver?

i remember a while back i tested our tap water with a tds meter and it read ~10ppm. ever since then i’ve been using tap water and seachem prime and i’ve never had any major problems. sure every now and then i’ll have some algae but i just assume it’s from over feeding or lack of water changes. i’ve never had any long term problems doing it this way but recently i’ve started a new tank and plan to go sps dominate. should i get an ro/di system?

The water pipes should all be made from plastic and be crimped connections.
So you are better off than the ones in my house, copper with leaded solder connections.

RO/DI is a PITA but well worth it.

I live in Coquitlam with some of the cleanest tap water on the planet but I still can't beat HA when I use tap water.

Especially over time.
