Default My 67g Reef build

Hi all.

After a long summer I have cleaned house and tore down a few tanks. All that I have left set up is my 65g and my 30g breeder. Which is plumbed together. Well this project will reflect of building a 2 sided viewing tank which i just picked up from another reef member and tear down the last 2 tanks and combine them into the new tank.

I will post equipment and other stuff I am going to have to get new or used from fellow reefers.

Keep checking in for updated and feel free to drop some comments or criticism

Dimensions are 72x18x12 = 67g Starphire Closed loop system.

Pump I am going to use for the closed loop is a Blue Line T4 Velocity Series external pump. I have read they are super quiet but run a little hot.

I dug out my Vertex IN180 and cleaned it up for this tank. My 65 & 30 which are plumbed together does not have a mechanical skimmer in the Sump . I have approx 300 lbs of live rock which is filtering this system but unless I run 2 sumps under this new tank to house that much LR I may have to get rid of some.

Hopefully I will have the top built soon.

I am looking at 3- HQI Sunlight Supply Reef Optix 150 watt pendants to go over top of this baby.

Top of the stand is 46" off the floor but the tank is only 12" high so 58" to top of tank. I think it will be at a nice level when sitting on a bar stool leaning on an oak ledge to hold your favorite beverage

So........ I got the closed loop all plumbed in. I am going to change the way it was setup from the dump and return on the same end. I am going to use both as a dump and have the return come in from the other end pushed by a Mag 9.5. On the end of the return I think I am going to hook on a Vertex Mocean 3500 WaveMaker. Any thought on this unit does anyone have one??? dinoflagellates

Thought I would add a picture of the Vertex Mocean 3500 WaveMake. I am going to hook this up at the end of the return.
