I used Canon T3i with stock len 2 F5 for the full colony shots and Canon 100m (non-IS) macro @ F2.8 for the close up shots.

damn. That's the largest colony of Pink Matrix I have ever seen. Probably worth a few thousand dollars. Amazing Thang.
