Skimmers take some time to break in before they'll produce any real skimmate. How long has it been running? Some skimmer take up to a week before they break in.

Does the ASM come with a piece of foam on the outlet pipe to catch bubbles?

Got the G3 as well and Like Harvey said, they take a bit of time to break-in.

Now bubbles in your tank, if coming from the skimmer, can be stopped by having baffles between the skimmer and return pump.

yah i have 2 baffles then refug then baffle then return pump so that shouldn't be a problem, i thin part of the problem is my overflow pipe running to the sump
