Default Really impressed by AquaticLife 115 Skimmer

I currently have a small 10 gallon nano tank. It's been running for about a year now. Never had any type of filtration for it the tank, just a tone of live rocks and weekly water changes.

After browsing around I decided to give the AquaticLife Internal Mini Protein Skimmer 115 a try. I was really not expecting too much from a nano skimmer.

I got this guy set up last night and this morning I was presently surprised.

I've been using one for years, first in the back of a biocube, currently it sits in my Aquaclear 110. The online reviews are pretty bad but I've always had success with mine. There is an airline modification you can look up so that the existing air hose extends further plus after that mod, you can add a check valve/air control valve at the end to help it skim even better.

Update: Everything is still working wonders. I would highly recommend it.

I did a little research on the Airline mod. I am going to give it a try tonight. I will post some picture later.
