Found this in the new live rocks for my frag tank... its only an inch long right now... I'm told its a nasty worm...

Looks like to an Oenone Fulgida. Don't put it back in your tank if it is, they'll eat anything that moves and leave a nasty slime behind
Not sure how you caught it but odds are theres more. They hide inside rocks and stretch out to hunt, when spooked they retract backwards into the rock and they're lighting fast

Probably a billion different types of worm. That's one of them. Don't eat it.

That certainly may be Oenone fulgida. Do you have any trouble keeping molluscs?

That worm is definitely in the category of bad worms to have in your tank it is known to eat snails, shellfish and there have been reports of it attacking sleeping fish.

I would suggest any worm that isn't a bristle worm should get flushed. Just in case.
