Default Ato pump ran dry

Thought I had enough water in my reservoir to make it overnight, but in the morning it was dry....of course my pump probably kept running all night....not working, is it pooched? Pretty sure this is a dumb question but wondering if there's a way to get it going again....

take it apart, make sure the impeller is turning freely, then reassemble and try it out

Ah ATO complacency.

Better to be safe. Fill it before you "take a chance" next time.

Pumps are cheap for ATO. You will make it a day or two with manual top ups.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

It's a tunze ato. Pump is fairly new as the original got clogged with cat hair....

Ya, complacent, was late when I noticed, just lazy. I'll probably replace, they are pretty cheap pumps.

Doesn't it time out?

My Tunze stops running after a set period of time if the level sensor doesn't switch it off.

I'm not sure if it does. It was running when I checked in the morning, I just unplugged it.
