My cinnamon palys are closed up and look waxy/shiny, everything else looks fine, no changes in chemistry.

So what are your parameters?

Tell us more about your system, its size, its lighting, its flow. Or do you have a tank journal we can look at?

its quite common for them to do this , could have been stung, rubbed against or disturbed etc.

in short time they will be normal

OK thanks for the reply, I've had them for a few years now and this is the first time, maybe the kenya tree stung them, I'm trying to give it away but no luck, maybe I should try selling it.

grandis palythoa can be hard to give away for sure but some varients are very nice

i have the true cinnamon El Grandis paly and i wouldnt sell a polyp to my grandmother as her last dying wish(harsh i know) lol

im sure will come around soon, if they stay closed for more than a few days then there is an issue, either water quality( not seeing it though) or possibly some other issue(fish, pests etc.)
