Default Base rock

I am starting up my new red sea max 250 and I want to take things really slow(and more economical) so I decided to go with 40lbs of base rock from J&L and 25lbs of live rock. What I am wondering is should I put the base rock on the bottton (as the name implies) with the live rock on top, or should I mix it all together so the live rock might "seed" the base rock more effectivley?

You can mix them up its no problem, just add fish slowly to let the bacteria catch up with the bioload , as it takes time from them to colonize the dry rock.
