save the file to your public folder in dropbox
right click, on it and "copy public link"
go to your thread
click the icon for image (its yellow and has a mountain on it)
paste the link. that simple

How is this easier or better than photobucket? I have a dropbox account for my business and it's great but also expensive and not ideal for pic sharing.

2GB is nothing, my camera card is 16GB. Filling up 2GB will take no time at all and likely why you're pushing this in the first place, your account is full and trying to get more free storage with referrals.

Photobucket is free and it's unlimited storage even with the free account. It's also easier to share files.
1 - Select the image size you want
2 - Select the pics to upload
3 - Select all or the pics you want to share
4 - Select generate IMG codes
5 - Copy and paste

For dropbox you have to manually resize each pic and then when you want to share multiple pictures you have right click on each one and manually insert each pic one at a time into IMG codes. Then if you ever want more storage, which you will, it's expensive. Even the premium account at photobucket is only $20 per year (not month) and you don't even need that anymore.

You need to remove the fist http:// in your line (did that for you), and you might want to resize that to something like 800x600 or less
