Default Telus "High Speed" Internet

I just switched from Shaw high speed cable internet to Telus' high speed internet. So far, the Telus connection has been horribly slow. If I'm trying to load a page with pictures (which is every page these days), it can take up to 20 seconds. Half the time, the pictures don't end up loading, and I get the red "x" or blue "?" symbol instead.

Does, or has, anyone else have this problem with Telus internet? Super frustrated over here.

What Telus calls high speed may not be equivalent to what Shaw calls high speed. Telus has always been slower.

Shaw High Speed is 5mbps
Shaw High Speed Xtreme is 10mbps
Shaw High Speed Nitro is 25mbps

Telus High Speed is 2mbps
Telus High Speed Enhanced is 3mbps
Telus High Speed Extreme is 6mpbs

So if you switched from Shaw high speed to Telus high speed, 5mbps vs 2mbps, yea its going to be slower.

Hope ya didn't agree to a long term Telus contract.

Ugh, telus "high speed" reminded me of dial up... We were lucky to get 500k/s, went around in circles with telus for months on it - finally we went to the full shaw package to have a reasonable speed...

Are you using Bell, Rogers or another local cableco?

I tried bell once because they insisted they were fast and 2 weeks later I was back with videotron... Like I said, I have no patience!

Wow. Just tested again (the last test was about 4 hours ago) and tested at 0.49mbps.
