Default alkaline battery

Welcomed home from this short shift on the road to a tank with all the lps in heavy recescion, cloudy water.. ask whats up.. gf says she pulled a out an led light with bateries that were in there long enough to blow up in the tank.

fish look ok.. couple snails look pooched.. about to do as much water change as i have <15-20g> in a 65 g tank.

should i move all the lps to the frag tank of my sps system or just leave them where they are and do wc tonight and more tomorow?

will also change carbon and gfo tonight after water change.

anything else i should do?

Well that's one way to get the alkalinity up.

How did the water changes affect things?

I think this is probably the first time this has been asked, not sure what to do Water changes, carbon (the good kind) and praying to reef gods. I'd google battery chemistry to see if there is any copper in them. Hopefully not.

Wow..that is not good at all! Wish you the best of luck!

I would do water changes over the next few weeks, carbon and just watch all your levels.. all you really can do..
