Big Al's done?!?

So rumour is that Big Al's has gone under. Their "renovation" sale was just a front? Anyone else hear about this?

I have noticed that everytime I go to Big Al's, their SW section is slim to none.

The wife was there a couple days ago and it was closed for renovations she said

soon it will become island pets.

then you will watch as the quality of their care and livestock gradually diminishes until you can barely stand to be in there.

Then, it will close.

same thing happened to their locations out here.

Yup, they are history. Just got this email:
"Dear Big Al's Calgary customers,

We are writing to inform you that our Calgary Supercentre location has officially closed its doors. It has been an absolute privilege supporting the aquarium, pond, reptile, and pet hobby needs of this beautiful community, and we thank you for your loyal patronage over the years.".....yada, yada etc.

more like 5-6 years ago they stopped trying, that place has been bleeding money after the first couple of years. It's sad, I'll miss them.
