100 Gallon in Need of New Skimmer, Opinions?

I'm upgrading the skimmer on my 100G mixed reef because I feel that the Turboflotor 1000 just isn't doing the job. I'd like to get a new one in the 250-300$ range (Cdn currency). Right now I'm looking at either to Octopus or SWC 200 "Extreme/Xtreme" models but I'm not too knowledgable as far as skimmers go. Does anyone have any opinion on these skimmers or reccomendations as far as other skimmers go?
