Default Super Bowl predictions

About 90 mins to kick off! Anyone else going to watch?

If Denver plays effective aggressive defence (like last game) it could be close. If not, it may get ugly.

Assuming thing go well for each team, I'm expecting Carolina to win 27-17 (ish). I just hope Peyton doesn't embarrass himself like last time

I've been a fan of the Panther's QB since he first entered the league. I love the way both Cam Newton & Russell Wilson play the position.

Never been a fan of Payton's, regardless of how many records he sets.

I am hoping a big time win for the Panthers.

A team game without a goalkeep isn't a real sport, IMHO.

Way more boring than the last two Super Bowls. Really, the half time show was the most exciting part of the game.

Cam also showed his lack of experience big time with his body language and facial expressions. Instead of being a positive, rally-your-team-from-behind leader, like Russell Wilson, Cam had his worst game and failed to hide his own disappointment and unhappiness from his team mates.

Yep , he should have tried to recover that fumble. Near the end of the game when he was tackled in the end zone he threw a tantrum like a little child , pretty embarrassing.

Instead of setting them up to be real strong contenders for the next few years (like Seattle did), this game may have set them back. If they had at least made a game of it, instead of showing their inexperience in the big game & Cam's lack of maturity in the face of adversity, then even a loss would still have been a stepping stone to a better outcome next year.

Im no panthers fan, but you forget they play in a crap division. Atl wont go any where until matt ryan steps up. Saints are still retooling, and tb is bad. O and the panthers are getting back their best WR who was hurt all year.

Panthers can go 8-8 next year and still win the divison, and come playoffs who knows what can happen

On another note, I didn't see this game as adding to Payton Manning's "Legacy" other than his team winning the Super Bowl because the way his defense was playing, it didn't require a great game or even a good game out of Manning (and it definitely was not a game either QB looked good in). The number of 3 and outs, as well as an NFL playoff record 12 failed 3rd down attempts in a row (or did it go higher?) really showed how ineffective, for the most part, Manning and the Bronco offense was for much of the day. The Denver defense really carried the team to victory, while Manning's offense more or less limped across the finish line. At least Manning kept his composure, something Cam will have to work on for next season. Well the pundits have said for decades that defense wins championships and that "truism" was proven at Super Bowl 50. Two great defenses duked it out and Denver's defense proved it deserved to be ranked number one.
