how noisy is that sump?? because i would be putting it in my living room?

The sump itself is quiet, as we have the drains terminating partially submurged with just a little air space at the top so it doesnt "glug".. now mind you, we dont have the skimmer in yet.
There is some noise at the display from the overflow pipe.

How much did the plumbing cost for you??

And also do you think it would be easier to use flexible tubing instead? or to use the pvc pipe?

I didnt keep track of the plumbing. The valves and quick disconnects are the most expensive parts. I think it was a bit over 100$. What sucks is you have to buy an 8 ft stick of pipe. We took a saw with use and cut it all in half to fit into my car.

Well just went and bought all the things that I need plumbing wise and I semi siliconed my overflow together (not to the tank yet)... I got my baffles cut but they are to high so tommorrow or the next I have to get them recut because they are all 14" high and I need more of a waterfall 'effect'....

why not just sand the tops down a few inches? They're acrylic, right? You could even score them if they're thin enough.

Hmm i guess I could try that then rather bringing it to the shop to get cut and pay for that........

Or actually I am going at my 'parents' house and they have a cutter
