Default What Brand of Router/Modem are You Running Your Neptune Apex Through?

I have been having some difficulty with my Apex and apparently all I need is a sensitivity adjustment which the guy from Neptune said could be done online, sounds easy right? WRONG! Apparently the 2Wire modem/router I have from Telus is a nightmare to configure for access to the Apex. I have spent countless hour trying everything, reading every online post I can find and using every configuration possible with no luck. I figure it might be time to change modems, I would like to get something that works with Telus internet, and is Apex friendly so I can enjoy the benefit on online access. Any suggestions?

Buy a Linksys. They have the biggest user community, so getting help on the web is usually pretty easy. Dlink is a reasonable second choice, but at that point it's Coke vs. Pepsi. Better to place your bets with Cisco.

I run an ASA5505.

Linksys seems to be pretty easy to work with as far as configuration. It has worked pretty good for me so far.

Presumably you need to configure port forwarding. Let me know the exact model of apex, model of the 2wire router and LOCAL ip of the Apex and I'll see if I can google a solution for you.

It is the one telus gives you Siemens567. Didnt want to use it but when I switched to high speed the connection disabled my N D link router

Neptune Apex Model 1.0, Serial AC4:01687, Software 4.03L_6A10
The router is a model 2700HG-E
Local IP of the Apex is 192.168.1.77
(One of the things I tried is DMZ mode where the router assigns an IP to the Apex in DCHP mode so the Apex is now assigned 199.126.209.19)

I am running a Siemens gigaset modem from telus and a linksys wireless gaming adaptor hooked to the apex. Works great.
