Default SPS and Sunbrite LEDs

Hi guys,

I am wondering what settings (colour intensity and timing) do all of the Sunbrite folks use for their reef tanks?

I'm at 8hours of 70% across all colors and 80% blue. I ramp up from 4% blue to the full day 70/80% in 1 1/2 hour and down in an hour span.

I love the lights, love the easy usage and over all power is very very strong!

It took me 3 months to ramp up to where I am now!

I keep forgetting to write you what I have but it is something like the following...

R: 5%
G: 8%
B: 65%
P: 40%
W: 45%
UV: 5%

I will check at home what I have when I get a chance....

Do I need to increase my output for SPS?

Probably? If your light was doing what you wanted, you wouldn't be asking, right?
How are your corals responding to what you have now?

Why not run the UV channel at 100%, at 5% you might as well just turn them off. There is only 2W per foot of UV so you'll want it set as high as possible. Other than that slowly increase your outputs until the corals respond the way you want but remember light is only one of the requirements for SPS.

Yeah my sps looks a little bland...

My hammer coral and mushrooms and leathers look okay but they don't need the same amount of light.

Is it just the uv spectrum that you would increase?

What else would you look at to make the sps happy? I am a bit of a noob when it comes to coral.

Water chemistry and stability really. I can't say much more without getting in trouble for being off topic.

Also, SPS love light. LOVE. I run my 6 AI's at 100/100/95 and they just suck it up. But ya, light is only part of the recipe. Water quality, tank maturity, flow, black magic and touch of voodoo.
