Default Powerhead upgrade etc...

I have a 6' long 100gal mixed reef tank with a 4' 50gal sump in my basement. When I first started with the big tank (had a little 20gal with no overflow, protein skimmer, powerheads to start), it is a big investment to go all out. So I decided to get Koralia powerheads and the Koralia wave machine to save money. I've had a couple of the impellers rust apart on me. Is this because of lack of maintenance and cleaning or is it because they kinda suck? Now that expenses have curbed to some degree for the tank (food, salt etc), I can see getting something that I would be more happy with. What would people suggest?

Thanks,

Mike

I would recommend Jaebo pumps for price and effectiveness.

They make powerheads? I've got a return pump that does a pretty good job already.

The gyre is a good option too but they recommend 3 months service period... it might be more work than you want since you killed 2 korlias already...lol j.k.

Great choice for powerheads and the company was great to deal with when I got mine earlier this year.
