I have noticed my frogspawn and galaxy corals get hammered when I try to remove palys in the tank with a few healthy heads of frogspawn actually dieing. Scraping them or pulling them off causes them to release mucus which contains the toxin. I removed rock and sat it in a salt bucket of freshwater with a lid thinking they would die and rot away - but some looked like they were still alive after a month in the dark. Leaving the rock in the sun for a few days definitely killed the palys but also bleached the rock and turned it into dead rock.

Lately, I have been injecting the remaining polyps with a syringe full of Kalkwasser in solution - this seems to prevent them from sliming.
