Default Reef safe plumbing question

Looking to use my return pump to run my phos/carbon reactor.

Found a 1.5” x 1.5” x 1/2” npt “t” in schedule 40 which I know is fine but my question is this 1/2 quick connect to 1/2npt fitting reef safe?

It may have small metal teeth that hold the line in, but if it is installed correctly they shouldn't come into contact with any water.

Found one at a local plumbing store. Yep metal retainer teeth. Should be good to go.

You'll have salt creep over time from it and metal will rust. Ive use the union fitting with barbs on end. Still get salt creep once rubber shrink but it is stand longer than push fittings
