Default Plexi glass to glass tank

Anyone have any experience with siliconing plexi glass to glass tank. I might able to get a hold of some thick plexi glass and want to make an external overflow using it.

Unfortunately it just wont work. Silicon will not adhere to plexi-glass (acrylic) at all. You can find a primer (I cant remember the name) that when applied to the acrylic will improve the adhesion, but it still isnt sufficient for structural strength. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris! In a way this is good news. It would be bad if I were to go ahead with the project.
