Default yellow tang chewed tridacna's foot off

Hi everyone.
My tridacna crocea jumped into a 10 head ball of frogspawn, and attached itself. The clam seemed pretty stressed. I hung it over a rock so it wasn't in the frogspawn, and it would let go. When the lights came on in the morning I saw my yellow tang picking at the clams foot. I moved the clam and the foot stayed stuck to the frogspawn. So my question is, will the clam live? It's mantle is out as normal, and it looks fine.

Thanks for any input. Mike

Likely it's just part of the foot in which case it should grow back provided the overall health of the clam is good and kept that way.
