Default Broken heater

I set up a 15G water change tank with heater in it mixed salt. While I was away the heater wire broke from the very end of heater and water has some jelly white stuff in there.
Is it okay to use it for my water change ?

Don't think he's worries about being electrocuted he's asking if water is ok to use. And I would say no its garbage.

I agree with everyone No
Wire is usually made from copper, and you do not want any of that in your tank
White Jelly? don't know. Any fiberglass in that Jelly? sometimes heaters have fiberglass in the bottom of the glass tube.

I don't think the $5 of salt is worth risking the livestock in the tank for is it?
The white jelly you are talking about could be a cause of the heater heating the water up too much and causing the calcium and alk to solidify abit causing the reaction or perhaps something worse. I'd say buy another used heater and scrap the batch.
