Default UV Sterilizers

Hello all,

I'm thinking about getting an uv sterilizer. Of course, some of you may be aware that the plumbing on my tank is a bit wonky..... and the odds of plumbing a sterilizer (or anything else for that matter) into my set up are almost nil!

So, I'm looking for some advise. Are all sterilizers plumbed in line, or are there some that are drop in with a self contained loop of some sort and a separate pump?

Am I making any sense?!

I've scoped them out on line, but I don't see the answer to my question there. Any comments or advise would be appreciated!

Thanks!

My sterilizer sits above my sump and has its own pump. If you have a small system you could connect it in line, but with a larger system the flow through the sterilizer might be too high. Check what the recommended flow rate for the sterilizer you want to use.
I hope this helps

Hi Shane,

Thank you! I see you have a Turbo twist on there, just the brand I was looking at.

I have used other brands and like this one the best.
