Default New Stand for 180G

Well,

Here are some construction pictures of my new stand. I was going to build 2 at the same time, but changed my mind when I found out how much the plywood cost. I guess I'll test out the design and see if it needs any changes for the next tank.

Just need the carpet and its ready for the tank!

Lee

Dim 72.5" Long x 24.5" Wide x 36" Tall
2x6, 2x4, 1x4 and 2 full sheets of 5/8" Plywood. ($150) + Time...

Looks good! Just wondering, noticed there is no center legs. Not worried being 70"+ long?

Hey Jack, Sure swing by, I would still like to get your old tank off you. Maybe you coudl deliver?

Gujustud,

I will test with fresh water first and see how much deflection I get. I was going to double up those long stringers, but I keep getting told not to worry about it.

Actualy I have seen Fresh Water 135 Tank suspended only at the ends, some crazy store a long time ago.

Jack,

Sohal was in one of Ken's tank waiting for you, then he got a shipement of new fish. Looks like a bad ick breakout, Sohal got it too. I was there on Thursday night, put all the fish in 2 hospital coppered containers. I guess we will have to see if he makes it or not.

I have really missed the Sohal, Ken also has a Powder Blue that I would like. Too many nice fish, and too little time...
