Anytime I named anything whether it be a crab, snail, fish or shrimp it dies. It's a curse I swear!

Needless to say "fishy" is about as close as I will get these days.

What a great question.

So....um....yes. Actually my wife did most of the naming:

Yellow tang= Woo tang (hers)
Powder Blue tang = Saxman (if anyone gets this name they're alright with me)
Anthias harem = Hugh and the bunnies lol (hers)
Brittle star = Peanut (hers)
Pajama cardinal = Jamas (hers)

My chromis and clowns don't have names.

Default Churchill

I named my very first fish, a Watchman Goby, Churchill because he looked like Winston Churchill.

He died at ripe old age of 11 years at which time he looked even more like his namesake. He also lived up to his name. He survived that horrendous blackout that almost destroyed Stanley Park. When the tank came back up to temperature he came out from underneath the rocks unscathed.

He was a wonderful fish and I miss him.

I named my first gold fish I ever got when I was six. Never bothered after that though, since they don't come when I call them anyway.

I don't name fish right away. Usually after a period of time, like over a year or more for some reason.

These ones are pretty obvious (have had them for about ten years now?)..
Dory
Nemo & Marlin.
Bubbles.

Maybe not as obvious..
Purple Tang -> Rain
Powder Blue Tang -> Seabiscuit.
Borbonius Anthias -> Dino
Boxfish -> Spot.
Flame Angel -> Scarlet
4 Stripe damsel -> Zigby
Purple pseudochromis -> Magenta.
Pink urchin -> Spike.
Leopard Wrasse -> Leo.
Melanarus Wrasse - Mel.

The rest of my fish don't have names yet.
