Default Snails from T&T supermarket

I got a few of these and threw them in a 10 gallon for a test run and the seem to be hardy and eat algae. Anybody know what kind they are? 3,99 a pound you can't go wrong

They're probably a cold water snail that will die and foul your water IMO.

I agree with G1GY. It's been attempted several times already and each time was unsuccessful as far as I know. There have been a couple of threads on this topic previously as well if you want to do any more reading on the matter.

This an old thread, but no one posted an outcome. I got some of these snails from T&T and I can confirm that they are surviving in my tank after a month and eating the algae in there. My water temp is kept around 78*F. Its a pretty cheap way to get snails.
