Default File fish safe lps corals

Hello,

I had a bit of an aptasia problem.

Took a mushroom rock with a few thinking that they wouldn't spread. BIG MISTAKE!

Anyways long story short after fighting an endless battle i got a file fish. Awesome fish, he went to town and decimated them all! Tank is completely free of aptasia.

Unfortunately he also developed an appetite for frogspawns xenia etc.

Can anyone recommend any softies worth trying? Or have a small amount they are will to part with that I could try out?

Rick

You looking for softies to stock? Or to feed the filefish?

To stock, I'd imagine something. Without alot of Short soft wavy polyps. I'd probably try some leathers. Toadstools in particular.

For feeding, if you have a refugium, grow out some Xenia and cultivate to feed.

Not sure, I only have Tyree toadstool frags.
I have had some real nice toadstools in the past, ones with large white polyps. There's also the yellow fiji ones.

Unfortunately you don't see alot of softies frags for sale.

LFS usually has toadstool and spaghetti leathers. And often green/yellow nepthea/sinularia types.

If I were to try lps, I'd go for non-flowy polyped types... Like moons and brains.
