Default Snorkeling in Maui

Video shot snorkeling at mile 14 on the road to Lahaina. The water was a bit cloudy due to recent large swell. Shot with a little waterproof camera, so go easy

BTW is there a way to embed video into posts?

Default Maui

I went in the early December to huanamu bay just outside of Honolulu and the water was fairly cloudy but it looks much more cloudy for you. Very cool seeing all the fish and corals around. Tons if cats paw corals everywhere and triggers too.

The camera makes it appear cloudier that it really is. I should have got some video of Molokini as well, it was really clear out there, but it was a little too deep outside the surge area. I plan to do a refresher on my dive certificate before our next trip.

Default Maui

My family and I were in Maui at the end of October. It was the fifth time for me I find the best snorkeling is at Honolua bay and black rock. Black rock is kind of crowded though . We can't wait to go back. My jaw dropped at the size of the yellow tangs they were as big as dinner plates .

Thanks for sharing Rob
Sometimes some condensation happens on the lens when underwater. That is what happened to me in Nov when I was there and then it appears as if the water is cloudy.
I was told to add a small packet of silica gel.

Nice!

We go to Kona in a few weeks, I can't wait to get into the water.

There used to be a way to embed youtube videos by copying the embed code off the share button on youtube but it seems to be not working at the moment. I'll see what I can find out.

Kona will be nice! Too bad holidays have to end. I've decided next year we're going somewhere disgusting, so it feels good to be home.
