Default Nylon filter socks

Does anyone know where/if you can get 4" nylon filter socks in Calgary? and if not where the best place online would be?

I'm tired of how much it takes to clean the felt ones and heard nylon ones are so much better (in the cleaning department).

I get mine from reef supplies. Have been very happy with them.

Just so your aware the Red Sea are not th standard 4" they are slightly smaller size If I remember correct, been ahile since I was running on in my RSRN. You can pick those up at any place that sells Red Sea tanks, I know Wais had some Reefer Nano tanks last time I was down there. Maybe Pisces sells them as well?

Yeah it looks like he only has the 15" long ones in stock, not the shorter ones.

The red sea ones I think are different size than normal.

nylon socks are definitely easier to keep clean but for longevity I recommend hand washing and never using the machine to clean them. they aren't terribly durable and even a gentle cycle caused threads to run creating gaping holes.

Default I have both types

I buy mine off eBay 150-200 micron felt for $2.00 I have like month worth.
So one day a month I wash in the washer with bleach inside out twice and rice again turned the right way then let dry for a day, done for another month.
The nylon ones are on eBay I have some of them I use them only if I need to run some media through the tank in a hurry, felt are much better for clean reef waters.
