Default Fragging Mushrooms

Any tips on fragging mushrooms? I had one that came attached to a frag I bought some time ago, decided I'd slice it in half (as that's what I heard to do). However, it "pussed" all over the place, and after I put the 2 pieces in the tank, they folded up, and I'm sure they went through the powerhead.

Any tips to successfully frag mushrooms?

1. Slice the mushroom off the rock at the base (foot will regrow)

2. If you want to make more than one frag from a single mushroom, cut through the mouth making sure each piece has part of the mouth

2.5 If you're worried you can dip (Revive, CoralRx, Lugols, etc.) the fresh-cut pieces to prevent infection

3. Put the mushroom pieces in a container with some rock rubble

4. Cover the container with some mesh (so the pieces don't get sucked into your powerheads again) and place container in a low-flow area

The pieces will attach to the rubble and you'll have shiny new mushroom frags.

*Fragging mushrooms is easy. The hard part is trying to kill them once you realize they're pure evil*
