Default Cleaning brutes for water storage

What's the best way to clean brutes for water storage?

It wouldn't even hurt to to spray the inside of the brute can down with a little vinegar, scrub down with a green scotchbrite pad & rinse.

I gave my containers a good scrub with vinegar and tap water then I rinsed a couple of times with tap water, I didn't think ro was necessary.

I use dish soap, just enough to get a little bit of bubbles to cut any greasy or oil residue that might be on it. Rinse out with super hot water. Add 1 gallon of hot tap water, 1 mL household bleach. Swish that around, let it sit for an hour swishing it around several times. Rinse well, let it dry thoroughly to let bleach off-gas.

Check out the web site of the manufacturer. I checked the Brute site and none of their wheeled models are rated food safe whereas the round, non wheeled ones are. Not sure if there are any differences in the plastics used, but certainly something I would want to check out before I stored all the water my livestock was sitting in.
