Default riceboy's 34 gallon shallow tank

well after constant heat issues with such a small tank ( mh over a 8.9 gallon instant toast, and powerhead over heating the tank), i have decided to go with a larger tank, i picked up a 34 gallon neo nano from a fellow reefer and am in the process of cycling it. here are some stats on the tank at the moment.

24x24x12 display neo nano tank,
25 gallon cube sump tank
max 800 sump pump
eshopps 120g skimmer
ebo jagur 150watt heater
sieo m820
2 koralia nano
1 koralia 2
3 24"marine glo ho t5 currently running 2 fiji purple, 1 10k, 3 actinics
13 lbs of live rock (need to add 15lbs more)
5lbs of live sand in sump
cheato in sump
2 digi thermometer one in sump other in tank

will post pics of set up soon

With the powerheads you said you wanted you won't have an issue with flow in your stank or stirring up sand

as for lighting, consider a new wave like the ones set up at RC. they are $220ish brand new and with 8 bulbs you can have alot of fun. way better than the hagons

sounds like you have a neat little project going

How much are you willing to spend? i just reccomended the new wave since its a 8 bulb for under $300. besides that your looking at ATI fixtures which will be $400-600

i guess that would be the best bang for the buck on a 8 bulb but the cost is around 300 for the light fixture plus another 200 in bulbs so thats 5 bills for the lights, kinda expensive in my books, but kevin also showed me a odyssea 250 watt metal halide with 2 pc lights for 300 and it comes with bulbs what do you guys think of that?

only issue with the new waves is, they only have one cord and the reflector(though individual) are not polished.....dont knock the hagen "glo" lights.....check out what I did with two of them over a twenty...http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=31856 with three of the them over a 12" deep tank you will be able to keep anything you want.....

gonna be a sweet tank man......
