Default kien's 150g Room Divider Mixed Reef & Stuff

I guess I am upgrading. My current tank is a 90 gallon. New tank will be 150 gallons at 72" long by 24" wide by 20" deep. At one end there will be an external overflow box built. The overflow box will house 4 1" standpipes for herbies (two main and two secondaries). Eurobracing will have two holes drilled at the opposite end of the tank to drop down two 1" return outlets.

The story so far:

Current tank that was the previous room divider has been moved.. The new tank has been ordered and the stand has been framed.

Good luck to you and keep us posted. I love reading journals that start from concept and have plenty of pictures.

I see you are taking care to make sure your stand is level... is your floor level?

I am excited to see your new build, though, as I have just set up a room divider as well...

Oh man.. that floor is so not level. In fact, that orange level is no longer with us due to that fact. After taking that picture I went to lean on one of the corners. The stand rocked and sent the level flying 3 feet to its death I was using the level for measuring actually. I did haul the stand into the house to make sure it was level where it will finally sit and thankfully it is :-)

(mental note: next level I purchase is not going to be made of plastic).

Looking forward to this build as it's a smaller version of what I'm planning. When you say holes drilled in the eurobracing at the "opposite end" you mean opposite from the overflow. How do you plan to pipe the water to the other end without the pipes looking terrible?

Default In The Family Way

The Clowns have spawned! At least I think they did. This is the first time I've seen them spawn and the eggs look nothing like the eggs on Finding Nemo

They did the deed on the slope of a rock just behind the goniopora that they host. Very cool stuff.
