Default Dozer location

I recently purchased a marine magic dozer. Is it ok if I installed it in my cabinet over my sump or should I keep it outside?. Thanks.

if I keep it outside then I have about 3 feet to get to the sump. isn't that a bit far?

What I have done in the past is keep it in a bag with of course cutouts for the pumps and I placed a little mesh baby filled with carbon in there few years later and I am still using it with no issues of course replacing the carbon couple times a year.
