Default Carpet anemones split?

I hear over and over again about people's RBTA's splitting like crazy for whatever conditions (stressed, too big, etc), but was wondering about carpet anemones? Do they also split when they get too big or stressed?

Not really. There have been a few stories of people slicing their carpets in half and both halves healing to become two new carpets ... although to be fair, there are also stories where both halves just die. But ultimately in nature, carpets don't split naturally as a means for reproduction like BTA's do. Of the hosting species of anemone I think it's really only BTA's that do.

Never really seen anybody's carpet split on its own.

Reading all the "cut your anemone" threads (aka propagation threads), carpets both Haddoni and Gigantea seems to release a large amount of toxin into the water when cut in half and will take out tanks too.

The only thing that seems to split is BTA, all others are rare occurances.
