Default Shiftline's Nuvo 24 reef

I upgraded/migrated my 12g reef to the 24g a few weeks back so I'll try to backtrack a bit and start from the beginning

Tank innovative marine Nuvo 24
Light: programmable 120w led
Skimmer: IM ghost
Live rock: 35-45 lbs
Filter chambers: 2x cheato. 1x chemipure blue
Cheato light: custom 24w LED
Return pump: 467 gph
Website: www.fishtankprojects.com

The original little reef was a 12g fluval edge.. Beautiful little reef! My coral addiction soon grew and I wanted to expand

I had a 24g Nuvo tank setup as a freshwater shrimp tank..I loved the look of this tank and didn't have the heard to break it down. I came across a novo 16 ft sale and snatched not up. Days later I began the transfer from the 24 to the 16

And the shrimp tank magically shrunk!

It was t an easy transfer but it mostly made it in one piece! Nothing a little regrowth won't fix.. Now with a fancy desktop shrimp tank I found my self with a beautiful 36" empty shallow reef tank!

What ever shall I do?.. Yes you guessed it. It was time to move the 12g edge to the 24g Nuvo

Now the move went fairly easy and the scape happened pretty quick and smoothly which was surprising considered the 50 rescapes I did in the edge. I must have learned some design lessons

Now we wait for the dust storm to settle

Once it clears up I added in some of my fish and corals from the 12g. I also had a 10g and a bucket of live sand running the past few weeks with heaters and powerheads for anticipation of the upgrade

Dual cheato chambers

Custom fuge light

Build a stand for my skimmer

Added an IM skimmer

And of course my ultra precise custom auto top off with pin point accuracy

Now I'm cut off from fish as my stocking seems a little high however my parameters are all perfect. And so sign of nitrates!
On a side note I do 5g weekly water changes which likely helps prevent anything.

Two perc clowns

Banggai Cardinal

Yellow clown goby

Azule damsel - one of the least aggressive damsels. So far no sign of trouble and he has been a model citizen

Giant pistol shrimp. Aka the master builder

Yellow watchman goby to pair.. Hopefully although he is new and I have yet to see him since I have added him..

echinaster starfish

Miscellaneous blue leg hermit crabs

Lettuce sea slug

Porcelain crab

There is also a blue one who hangs out on the back of the rock

I think that's the whole crew minus the snails

On my way! One big happy family!

One of my favourite times is when just the blues come on at night. Everything in the tank glows like cray and its a straight up black light party in there
