Default Can I use backwards bulkheads on my BRUTE's?

I'm plumbing up my mixing station, and I'm a little short on space. I would rather be able to use my bulkheads backwards so that the outside is the flat side instead of the 2" bulkhead extension.

Has anyone ever done this on a BRUTE? I'd assume that the rubber gasket would go on the outside. Would it work? Any suggestions? I know I could use uni-seals, but I have no idea where i'd find those aside from BRS.

Uniseals might be better because of the curved surface, but in general though yes you can run bulkheads either way.

What size uniseal do you need and how many? I might have some extra in my plumbing bits drawer.

Thanks Tony,

I'd be looking for 2 X 1" uniseals.

I dunno if I would trust uniseals at bottom when full of water? I have similar setup with bulkheads and all is fine. Just had to put bulkhead up a little higher from bottom so it would flatten the side a bit. And used some silicone as a safety measure

We use uniseals on our 250g mixing containers without issues.

For the record, I've been using a Uniseal on the side of my 50g drum @ the bottom for 2 years now

I hate ordering things online and waiting for them to come in !!! I wanna do this now! lol.

However... I do need some georg fischer wye check valves anyways. So I guess i'll do a BRS order. My problem is that my cart gets bigger and bigger every time I look at the site lol.
