Default Prizm Skimmer spilling micro bubbles

Just purchased a Prizm skimmer and it is spilling large quantity of micro bubbles into the tank...just wondering if anyone is using the skimmer and has the same problem...will it simply go away on its own?

You have probably set the flow rate too high. You have to keep the foam line below the O'ring in the collector cup, or you will get bubbles.

Having used a Prizm skimmer for almost a year, I can say that Bob's advice is accurate. Try to keep the flow down a bit more than you have it set already.

Also keep in mind it takes time for a new protein skimmer to "break in" and you will get more micro-bubbles during this time. Once the skimmer has been running for a few days, they tend to go away.

Also you will notice this behaviour every time after you clean the skimmer, so get used to it at least once a month.
