Question calc test kit

hey all

can anyone tell me if an api calc test kit will work to calculate my usage for the day.or should i get a salifert.I guess what im asking is if the salifert is more accurate.

If you want accurate for calcium I'd go with the Elos. Salifert I found much harder to use than the Elos test, and with the Elos the colour change is very dramatic, very quickly so it's easier to interpret.

I also prefer Elos for calcium (and alkalinity) over Salifert. I really like the API nitrate kit for tanks with over 5 ppm nitrate, like fish only tanks.

I use API for calc and find it works fine for me. I do like The Elos for Alk much better though
