Default Thoughts on directional bulkheads

Building my new tank tonight and like the look of directional bulk heads for return. I know the nozzle is small on them. Which was pointed out may cause laser effect. I was considering 2 1" directonal bulk heads.

Looking for your insight or I may just go with 2 3/4" with locline nozzles

Thanks

ooooooh, like one of these things:

http://www.qualitymarine.com/Plumbin...-Thread-X-Slip

But with the ability to swivel it around a bit.

that's a sweet idea, way cleaner looking. seems like it wouldn't be anymore laser like than a loc line with a round nozzle, you'd just have less control over where the water was going. If it wasn't your only source of flow I'd say that would look hot. Loc line is awful looking, and mine always gets crusty salt creep all over it, that's way nicer looking.

think you meant this... http://www.qualitymarine.com/Plumbin...th-Directional)

i agree with you on the locline... it sucks unless its submerged and it looks like the inside of a cNC machine when its exposed within you tank.

I tried a few types of these right from a spa supply store in Calgary. They didn't work too well as they are made to move only under high flow, more than we use. The swivel action stops happening at the flow rates we run.

Just have a look at all the cool PVC goodies here:

It is where I found my closed loop manifold.

Nice lots of goodies. I figured the hottub jets wouldn't have enough flow and Moma bear won't let me turn hottub into reef.
