I'm in the same boat. I have a few patches of HA but my nitrates and phosphates are zeroed out. It has been suggested several times in the forums that macro algaes like HA can take up PO4 and nitrates before they get a chance to be read. HA is a resilient bugger! I have HA growing under rocks where there is NO LIGHT! Seriously, WTF?!

I didn't know you have a bunch of hell's asians in your tank that you are dealing with Kien...

All jokes aside, I have used lettuce nudi to control some of the hair algae problem I had in my frag tank and they do a fair job. I know they are likely to eat bryopsis but when push comes to shove food is food. I also use a couple of abalones for algae control in the main tank, they are smart and delicious.

That is where the majority of my algae grows! In the shaded areas of my rocks.. Gonna purchase and army of turbos this weekend and see if they take care of it. I rarely see my sea hare..

It depends on how they look over the next couple days
I don't like the idea of treating prophylactically, so, if there's no signs of internal/external stuff ( parasites, worms etc ), they'll go through Hypo and be in the DT in about 6 weeks

Thanks to J&L for the Flasher and Fairy, and Albert and his buddy for the Coris

Here's a shot of the Coris
I thought I'd better post a shot of him in the bag as there's probably no chance of a good pic once he goes in the QT
Reason is how tiny he is
That's an 8" bag he's in
Cute little bugger. I've never seen one so small

In the QT I have a plastic tray of sand that the flasher and fairy have not used

Once I released the Coris tonight, I fed them all again and the Coris ate, then he zoomed into the sand bed for the night

So, all is good
