Adam Yaunch of the beastie boys died of cancer today after beating it years ago, just wanted to give a shout out to him. You will be missed by many.

whether your a fan, closet fan, or not a fan at all, it is a sad day, not many white guys in their late 40's could jam like these guys.

I remember seeing them in calgary when I was in grade 3, my first and favorite concert, nothing could ever top that.

Every time I hear that song, reminds me of Gr 8, hanging out with the headbangers at Mac's. I remember who I was with, what we were doing, time of year, crystal clear, it was their theme song at the time...lol

OMG, that would have been fun to watch. My girlfriends and I did the same thing. We would put in a tape, hit record, but put headphones on so only the person singing could hear the music, and sing away (intoxicated as well), then listen. BEST way to learn that a singing career is not in your cards, listen to yourself...but funny as hell!

I know my Dad even listened to them when we were kids and he is 55 now

these guys transcended many different generations and many different cultures.

Beasties are just plan awesome...sucks to hear one of them pass away so young.
