I got my last tank custom built for $500. It was 36"x24"x20" with starphire glass on front and sides, polished edges as well as a coast to coast external overflow. I went completely rimless/braceless so the glass was thicker to compensate, it was 1/2" so I imagine 12mm if I was to order the glass myself. I would call around to get some quotes on custom built tanks as well as it seems that the glass companies are charging the same or more than an already built and drilled tank.
